Less Than Lethal Devices Course

Not every situation calls for deadly force. As an Unarmed/Armed Guard or responsible Civilian you have a responsibility to use the least amount of force reasonably necessary. The use of Less Than Lethal options has reliably proven to reduce hands-on injuries to both suspects and guards involved; reducing liability and maintaining balance between control and risk of injury. 

This class is designed as a complete package, providing students with the maximum number of de-escalation techniques and tools in a single course. In addition to verbal communication, students will learn the warning signs and prevention of Sudden In-Custody Death Syndrome, introduction to Handcuffing procedures, proper implementation of the collapsible Baton, and how to use Electronic Control Devices (TASER) or Chemical Sprays along with the science behind them.  

This class is regulated by the Department of Commerce and Insurance and qualifies the Security guard to carry a Baton, Chemical Spray, and TASER while on duty.
