Less Lethal Devices Renewal

Not every situation calls for deadly force. As an Unarmed/Armed Guard or responsible Civilian you have a responsibility to use the least amount of force reasonably necessary. The use of Less Lethal options has reliably proven to reduce hands on injuries to both suspects and the guards involved; reducing liability and maintaining a balance between control and risk of injury.
This class is designed to revisit the techniques and knowledge gained in the initial Less Lethal Device class. Students will revisit the warning signs and prevention of Sudden In-Custody Death Syndrome, proper implementation of the collapsible Baton, and how to use Electronic Control Devices (TASER) or Chemical Sprays along with the science behind them.
This class ensures students remain up to date on the latests techniques, policies, and procedures when carrying a Baton, Chemical Spray, and/or Taser while on duty.
